Give your belly some LOVE with this BELLY LOVE SMOOTHIE!
Smoothies have gotten OUT. OF. CONTROL. Typical versions include too many fruits and other ingredients that make them HIGH in calories and horrible for blood sugar. This SuperSwap version has good bacteria to aid digestion and follows the perfect smoothie ratio: protein base + 1 cup fruit + 1-2 cups vegetables + boost + flavor.

Sarah Ela says
Would water kefir be a good alternative to make it vegan? Any others? Thanks!
DJ Blatner, RDN says
Hey there! Yes! You can use water kefir, just add a scoop of plant-protein powder or nut butter to get protein. The best vegan KEFIR swap would have minimal added sugar AND 9 or 10 different strains of probiotics. And if your swap is low in protein, add protein powder or nut butter. Examples: Plantiful (6g added sugar, 10g protein, 10 probiotic strains) or Forager Probiotic Cashewmilk (0g added sugar, 3g protein, 9 probiotic strains). xx
