Smoothie + Oatmeal = SMOATMEAL!
Have you heard of SMOATMEAL? When you add raw, cooked, or soaked oats to any smoothie recipe it’s called SMOATMEAL.
This AB&J #SMOATMEAL BOWL is inspired by my obsession w/ Almond Butter & Jelly Sandwiches. It’s an almond butter & oat smoothie topped w/ berries to give it the fruity, jelly vibe.
To make the recipe, I’m using the super versatile Quaker Oat Beverage. It has a super smooth texture and comes in 3 great tasting flavors: Vanilla, Original, and Original Unsweetened.
A heart healthy diet should include whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, low fat dairy, lean protein and legumes, and should limit fat, saturated fat and cholesterol and sodium. This recipe per 1 serving provides at least 1g oat soluble fiber. Experts recommend that to maintain good health, no more than 10% of your calories should come from saturated fat, and no more than 20-35% of daily calories should come from total fat.
