Ingredients
- 2 cups Quaker Old Fashioned Oats
- 2 cups unsweetened plant milk
- 3 cups water
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Directions
Put plant milk and water in a pot and bring to a boil. Stir in oats and cook for about 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring often, until thick and creamy. Stir in nutritional yeast, turmeric, pepper, and salt.

Good morning. Thank you for this delicious sounding recipe. May I use 2% milk (cow’s milk) in place of plant based milk and achieve the same quality taste and consistency? Also if I halve the ingredients in order to make 2 servings, will the taste and consistency be the same? Thank you in advance. Oats are my favorite and this recipe sounds savory and delicious.
