Golden Milk Fitness Muffins
These make-ahead muffins are perfect to enjoy before workouts. Each one has 20 grams of carbs for energy and 10 grams of protein to support muscles. That 2:1 ratio of carbs to protein is exactly what your body craves before exercise.
These muffins taste like French toast (yum!) and the added spices of turmeric and ginger may help with muscle soreness. I originally created this recipe for Eggland’s Best, and now these muffins have become a household favorite!
I make them at the beginning of the week to grab from the fridge before a workout. They also freeze very well so you can make extras to always have a stash ready.
