Plan A: Perfect eating & cooking.
Plan B: Pretty damn good eating (half-ass plan).
Hi. I’m the latter…a half-asser & proud of it.
Sure, with enough time for planning, shopping & cooking we know how to eat healthy, but guess what?!! Life happens & things get sloppy. Work dinners, long-work days, too tired to cook, no groceries in the fridge, etc.
Success does NOT happen to those with a perfect plan A, it happens to those with a strong, half-ass plan B.
Half-assers find healthy ways to cut corners. Here are some ideas:
Plan A: Make salad dressing.
Half-Ass: Mix hummus & lemon juice as dressing.
Plan A: Make a stir-fry.
Half-Ass: Put chinese leftovers on a bed of greens.
Plan A: Make brown rice/quinoa.
Half-Ass: Buy frozen, precooked brown rice/quinoa.
Plan A: Make steel cut oats in 30 min.
Half-Ass: Microwave rolled oats for 2 min.
Plan A: Make a gourmet party app.
Half-Ass: Make a 2 min snack board.

Very clever — so often I “overdo” it …. but you’ve pointed out some simple & fun ways to keep it going. Would love to see more of your Plan A – Plan B suggestions!!
