Yes! Love these! I live in the heart of the Rockies and have so many great hikes around me with easy driving distance. I always plan on going on a hike but then think about how every other time many have been “too hard”. But I adore being in nature. What you you suggest I do to start slow and sloppy since I keep thinking I need to be in much better shape to even attempt some of these hikes? The mountains are so beautiful that I have extreme FOMO! Haha!

Yes! Slow & sloppy! Exactly. Drive to one of these amazing hikes and just drink a cup of tea or coffee! Don’t even bother going on the hike. Just get in the habit of driving there first. Then do a little of the hike, like 5 or 10 minutes and come back. Build up the minutes naturally. It’s not about how far you are going…it’s about getting into the routine…enjoying nature…feeling proud you are doing something instead of nothing. Stop thinking about it…stop planning…go do it! ENJOY!
