Lately in all sorts of ways, the word SIMPLIFY has been popping up for me. So, I’ve officially declared it to be a guiding principle going into 2016.
TWO recent ways I’ve SIMPLIFIED my life:
1) Exercise Calendar.
I plot out what exercise I’m going to do each day on a monthly calendar…run 5 miles, take the 5:30pm Butts & Guts class @ the gym, rest, etc. I used to think this felt too hard-core, too disciplined, too serious…but really it’s nice to not have to make a choice each day. This SIMPLIFIES it.
2) Meal/Shopping Organizer.
I created a simple template to brainstorm meals & groceries for the week. Listen, I used to fight meal planning. I wanted to feel spontaneous. “Plan” = boring to me. But calling this template an “organizer,” now that changes everything. “Organized” = a good thing. And now I’m not rushing around trying to think about what’s for dinner everyday. Ahhh, SIMPLIFIED.
