You just let yourself down…
Had a discouraging weigh-in, skipped a workout, ate way too much pizza, grazed all day on random snacks, etc.
How do you deal w/ a screw-up? Here are your choices:
A. Let guilt make you feel like a failure & give up.
B. Brush it under the rug & hope it won’t happen again.
C. Look at screw-ups with forgiveness & curiosity.
The answer is C.
When you veer off-track (and we all do), do NOT judge yourself/internally beat yourself up & do NOT brush the situations under the rug. Instead, FORGIVE & BE CURIOUS.
How to Forgive: Remind yourself you had a screw up. You aren’t a screw up. And remember one of my favorite sayings: “Mistakes Are Proof That You Are Trying.”
How to be Curious: Come out of your own body/mind and look at the situation. Be your own thought watcher. What can you learn about yourself without judgement or emotion? What do you want to TEST next time you are in a similar situation?
Use this Screw-Up WORKSHEET to help you get back on track.

Thank you. It’s heartening to know that someone as successful as yourself, “screws up”. I’m grateful for your weekly “booster shots”.
