Try these 3 SIMPLE salad topper swaps…
1. Croutons –> Sprouted Toast Croutons
Drop: Typical croutons made from white, overly-processed bread.
Swap: Toast a piece of sprouted whole grain bread, cut it into cubes & toss on your salad. Instant healthy croutons! You’re welcome.
2. Bottled Dressing –> Feta + Lemon
Drop: Bottled dressing made with CRAP ingredients.
Swap: Toss greens w/ feta cheese & lemon juice for a zero-fuss natural dressing.
PS: Not a feta fan? Use another flavorful cheese like gorgonzola.
PPS: Cutting back on cheese? Use mashed avocado & lemon instead.
3. Bacon –> Coconut Bacon
Drop: Bacon – it’s an overly-processed meat, yo.
Swap: Turn coconut into a crunchy, savory topper. Preheat oven to 325. Toss 1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes w/ 1 tablespoon coconut aminos & a sprinkle of cumin. Spread evenly on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake for 15 ISH minutes, tossing halfway through.
