A new season is the perfect time for a DETOX.
I’m not talking about a food detox.
I’m talking about a THOUGHT DETOX.
I know for myself & my clients that cleaning up crap THOUGHTS is the secret to motivation, happiness, and success.
DROP: Crap thinking. SWAP: Clean thinking.
HOW TO THOUGHT DETOX:
1) NO JUDGING
When you veer off-track, do NOT judge yourself. Instead, forgive & be curious. Learn how to deal w/ screw-ups HERE.
2) NO COMPARISON
Mind your own business. Don’t compare your current self to your old-self, friends, family, strangers, coworkers, neighbors or media images. Comparison is the killer of all joy.
3) NO SHOULD-ING
Get the word “should” out of your vocab. Instead of saying “I really should do X”, flip it to “I WANT to do X because…” And if you can’t think of a reason you authentically WANT to do something, it’s time to strategize how to get that off of your to-do list.
