Many people talk about a “detox” with food, but a more *powerful* detox is one you do on your THINKING. It’s called a THOUGHT DETOX. And there are 3 steps…
HOW TO DO A THOUGHT DETOX:
1) NO JUDGING
When you veer off-track, do NOT judge yourself. Instead, forgive & be curious. Learn how to shift judgement with this TWO STEP worksheet HERE.
2) NO COMPARISON
Mind your own business. Don’t compare your current self to your old-self, friends, family, strangers, coworkers, neighbors, etc. Comparison is the killer of all joy. Instead catch yourself doing something great everyday, no matter how big or small.
3) NO SHOULD-ING
Get the word “should” out of your vocab. Don’t should on yourself. Instead of saying “I really should do X,” flip it to “I WANT to do X because…”
For example, instead of saying “I really should workout,” flip that statement to “I really WANT to workout because I’ll feel more energized & less stressed afterwards.”
