This blog post was sponsored by The Quaker Oats Company, but all opinions are my own.
Quaker Oats is celebrating local flavors with their new campaign called Oats Across America. They asked me to recreate one of my favorite hometown, regional recipes using Quaker oats.
I’m a Chicago girl. And being from the Midwest, I grew up seeing corn fields and am obsessed with cornbread. My recipe is Quaker Oatmeal & Cornbread Griddle Cakes, which are savory pancakes with subtle sweetness coming from corn. According to a recent survey conducted by Quaker, 73% of people in the Midwest are on board the savory breakfast trend, so this is the perfect morning recipe, and since 76% of us also enjoy breakfast for dinner this can be a quick & delish weeknight dish, too.
I can always find a way to work Quaker oats into my recipes because they are highly versatile, offering countless possibilities to get more taste and nutrition out of what we eat each day.
