Fall 🍁screams cinnamon to me. Sure you can sprinkle it in your morning oatmeal or add it to baked goods like pumpkin bread, but don’t forget you can drink it too! Cinnamon tea is so underrated IMO and deserves all the glory. 🤩
6 Reasons You Should Drink Cinnamon Tea
1. Focus Booster
Cinnamon is a brain booster because it contains phytochemicals that may help the brain better use glucose energy.
2. Memory Enhancer
Research shows that just smelling cinnamon gives your brain a boost, but eating/drinking it works even better.
3. Breath Freshener
Cinnamon’s antibacterial properties keep your mouth fresh and clean.
4. Craving Buster
Research suggests cinnamon mimics sweetness on your tongue to get you thinking you’re eating sweet, but you’re not.
5. Antioxidant Powerhouse
In a study that compared the antioxidant activity of 26 herbs & spices, cinnamon was in the top 3 highest (along w/ clove & oregano).
6. Blood Sugar Stabilizer
Cinnamon may decrease the amount of glucose that enters the bloodstream after a meal, resulting in lower blood sugar spikes & more sustained energy.
Make Cinnamon Tea…
Let a cinnamon tea bag* steep in hot water for 3-4 minutes. Drink hot or pour over ice to enjoy cold! *Choose organic brands since they won’t have artificial flavors.
No tea bag? No problem. You can use cinnamon sticks or ground cinnamon.
Cinnamon sticks: In a small pot, combine 2 cinnamon sticks + 16 ounces water. Bring to a boil, turn heat to low & simmer for 15 mins. Strain.
Ground cinnamon: Stir 1 teaspoon cinnamon into 8 -12 ounces hot water.

4 Fun Ways to Enjoy Cinnamon Tea…
Sure it tastes great as-is, but you can also try these ideas.
1. Cinnamon Tea Latte
How to: Add cinnamon tea bag to a cup of warm milk. Let steep for 3-4 minutes. Remove tea bag and add a little honey, monk fruit, or stevia.
2. Cinnamon Tea Ice Cubes
How to: Add brewed cinnamon tea to ice cube trays and freeze. Use cubes in smoothies (makes smoothies a thicker consistency) or in iced coffee.
3. Cinnamon Tea Hot Toddy
How to: Use brewed cinnamon tea as the base (instead of plain hot water). Add lemon juice, whiskey, and honey. This is my favorite Fall & Winter cocktail.
4. Cinnamon Tea Sangria
How to: In a pitcher, combine 50% brewed cinnamon tea + 50% red or white wine + chopped apples and oranges. Use warm or cold cinnamon tea, it tastes great both ways.
