SWEATER WEATHER SALAD
Sweater Weather: Meet Your Perfect Salad!
Sure, it’s sweater season and salads might scream “summer,” but this Sweater Weather Salad is here to change your mind.
While you’re cozying up with hearty soups, casseroles, and warm comfort foods… a fresh, colorful salad can be the perfect bright, crisp counterpoint to balance your meal.
This salad combines Brussels sprouts, roasted butternut squash, and apple for a mix of savory, sweet, and crunchy that feels just right for the season. And this salad packs a powerful NUTRITION punch:
– BRUSSELS SPROUTS: Packed with fiber to support gut health, vitamin C for immunity, and sulforaphane, a powerful antioxidant linked to reducing inflammation and promoting cellular health—key for long-term wellness.
– BUTTERNUT SQUASH: Rich in beta-carotene, which your body converts to vitamin A to support immune health, protect your vision, and boost overall resilience as you age.
– APPLE: Full of pectin, a type of soluble fiber that promotes heart health and loaded with polyphenols, compounds that help to reduce inflammation, support brain health, and protect against chronic disease for vitality.
Pro-tip: I like to think about all these nutrients as I eat and visualize my cells getting stronger, healthier, happier, and more energized with every bite.
And the dressing? Keep it simple. Once all the ingredients are in the bowl, drizzle olive oil & vinegar, add a sprinkle of salt and pepper, toss, and voilà! The ingredients shine all on their own without the need for a fancy dressing.
Pair this beauty with your favorite warm dishes for a meal that is both satisfying and nourishing. Think roasted chicken, a hearty stew, or a cozy pumpkin lasagna.

It’s such a satisfying salad to enjoy your fruits & veggies. Add your favorite protein to it to make it a meal, like roasted chicken, broiled salmon, or air-fryer tofu bites! xx
