JOY EXPERIMENTS
Pressure is in the air to make the resolutions, create the vision board, and charge into the New Year with big goals and big plans.
And all this does NOT feel joyful to me.
It feels overwhelming and stressful. Which is NOT the right headspace to create something magical or doable.
So, I’m ditching those traditional resolution vibes, and instead I’m focusing on JOY EXPERIMENTS!
✨JOY EXPERIMENT✨
An easy & enjoyable action you want to “test” to boost your health & happiness
JOY EXPERIMENTS: WHY THEY WORK
Most resolutions fail because they are too big and overwhelming + they are things you think you “should”be doing.
JOY EXPERIMENTS work because they are one small action + they are something you actually “want” to do.
JOY EXPERIMENTS activate your natural motivation system so you are more likely to keep the change going. Ultimately making you FEEL GOOD, which is the whole point!
HOW TO:
1. Start by writing down what you want.
2. Pick the ONE that feels the most interesting or exciting.
3. Brainstorm the ONE easiest + most enjoyable action you could try to create what you want.
4. Test it to see how it feels.
– If it feels good, keep doing it!
– If it feels too difficult, break it down into an even smaller + more enjoyable experiment!
No pressure. Just curiosity.
And, as you create small successes, you will build healthy momentum.
